My name is Jane Parish, and I am the author and designer of the Charolais Cattle informational website. This website was developed as part of my Internet Marketing class requirements for the Master of Business Administration degree program at Mississippi State University. I chose Charolais cattle as the subject of my website because I am very familiar with the breed. My family currently operates Clear Water Cattle, a registered Charolais operation in Aberbeen, Mississippi. We raise and sell Charolais bulls and females for breeding use in purebred Charolais herds as well as commercial cattle operations.
I work as an Extension Beef Cattle Specialist for the Mississippi State University Extension Service in my role on the faculty of the Animal and Dairy Sciences Department at Mississippi State University. As such, I have the opportunity to assist beef cattle industry participants throughout the state of Mississippi. I am also actively involved in many industry and professional organizations.
